What is the role about and who are you?
In the core of our innovative power systems are our fuel cell stacks. You are the one to build and run simulation models to assess the performance of our fuel cell designs before any components go into production, and with that you help create the best designs.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering & Product Manager, you will:
- Develop multi-physic fuel cell performance simulation models on Comsol, combining electrochemical, mechanical and thermal phenomena.
- Simulate the electrochemical performance and thermo-mechanical behavior of the fuel cell designs created in cooperation with the Fuel Cell Development Engineer.
- Continuously improve and optimize the accuracy of the simulation models according to prototype test results.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in mechanical/chemical engineering, chemistry or physics
- Minimum 1 year of fuel cell simulation experience on Comsol or other related software
- Knowledge of low temperature PEM fuel cell systems, finite element method and multi-physic simulation models
- Solid theoretical understanding of electrochemical, mechanical and thermal-fluidic phenomena
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
